Competition in the best statistical work in 2008 on an Arab

 

On Wednesday20/8/2008 announced that the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics on the testimony of the best statistical work in 2008 on an Arab in the competition organized by the Arab Institute for Training and Research Statistics annually.
This came during the opening session of the annual meeting of the Board of Trustees held in Damascus and was opened by Mr. / Abdullah Dardara - Syrian Deputy Premier for Economic Affairs and the presence of all Arab heads of statistical and attended Admiral / Abubakar Elgende - Chairman of the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics.
The Arab Institute assessment work submitted by statistical agencies Arabic by experts from all Arab countries according to the most important considerations:
The extent to which the work of creative recipes and creativity in statistical work.
The possibility of mainstream work on statistical agencies Arabic.
Contribute to the development of official statistics.
Build the capacity of the largest number of workers in the enterprise statistical.
Continuing impact on the statistical work of the Foundation.
Statistical work is a first position on the draft measure the impact of the use of information technology in schools that had been made by means of information technology (schools Egyptian Education Initiative).
This research carried out the initiative of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology in collaboration with the Ministry of Education to achieve the following objectives:
The availability of infrastructure for information technology in schools discussed.
The availability and use of information technology infrastructure and for their use.
Study the impact of ICT use in schools discussed.
Identifying impediments to achieving the objectives of the use of information technology in schools.
This research carried out in the period from 1/1/2007 until 31/12/2007 to 2266 the number of junior high school government distributed to all governorates of the republic has been collecting data number 47586 single distributed as follows:
School number 2266 questionnaire.
Number 11330 questionnaire teacher.
Number 33990 questionnaire asked.
The most important results of the search (for items discussed):
1 - With respect to school:
A - schools that are providing educational programmes to students through computers represent 99% of the total schools discussed.
B - representing the schools that train students in information technology 97% of the total schools discussed.
C - schools with computer lab to represent 88%
D - Internet-related schools represent 84% of the total schools discussed.
E - the proportion of school administrators who have received training courses in information technology 65% of the total schools discussed.
2 - With respect to teachers:
A - Teachers who use the computer, 99% of the total teachers.
B - percentages of teachers who train students to use educational CD-ROMs 86% of the total teachers.
C - Teachers who use computers in teaching students to 74% of the total teachers.
D - the proportion of teachers who have received training courses in information technology 63% of teachers in schools discussed.
3 - for students:
A - Students who use the computer, 98% of the total student interviewees.
B - Students who have received training in computer use 93% of the number of students

in schools discussed.
