The Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics study on university education in Egypt during the year 2005/2006 was the most important results as follows:
 1- The total number of students enrolled in public and private universities in 2005/2006 about 1963.3 thousand students representing a ratio of approximately 2.7% of the total population.
2- The number of students enrolled in public and private universities during the 2005/2006 year rate of 6.2% for the year 2004/2005, where the number of students in universities government by 6.5% and private universities by 1.6% in 2004/2005.
3- Azhar University received the largest number of students at public universities, where the number of students enrolled by about 365.9 thousand students by 19.5% of the total number of students enrolled in universities during 2005/2006 government.
4- Faculty of Commerce accommodate the largest number of college students in universities governmental theory, with the number of students enrolled by about 454.4 thousand students by 30% of the total number of college students enrolled in universities theory during 2005/2006 government.
5- Engineering colleges accommodate the largest number of college students in universities governmental process, with the number of students enrolled by about 111.4 thousand students by 30.6% of the total number of college students enrolled in universities in the process during the year 2005/2006 government.
6- University unions received the largest number of students at private universities, where the number of students enrolled by about 44 thousand students by 53.2% of the total number of students enrolled in private universities during the 2005/2006 year.
7- Absorbing faculties of Economics and Management and Trade largest number of college students in universities in the special theory, with the number of students enrolled by about 33 thousand students by 81.2% of the total number of college students enrolled in universities in the special theory during the 2005/2006 year.
8- Technological Development colleges accommodate the largest number of students at private colleges universities process, with the number of students enrolled by about 16.2 per thousand students 38.5% of the total number of college students enrolled in universities in the special operation during the 2005/2006 year.
9- The total number of faculty members and their collaborators in universities government during 2005/2006 about 68.3 thousand members and proportion to the number of students 28:1.
10- The total number of faculty members and their collaborators private universities during 2005/2006 about 2.7 thousand members and proportion to the number of students 31:1.
11- The total number of faculty members loaned to the Arab countries about 5.3 per thousand members 97% of the total number of faculty members on loan from universities Egyptian government during 2005/2006.
